Tourism
Sizisa Ukhanyo’s tourism program offers visitors a full spectrum view of the city and surrounding areas. By offering local knowledge and inside tips, we aim to provide tourists with a more memorable and deeper experience of Cape Town. Being well-connected to the community, Sizisa Ukhanyo offers a wide range of activities and excursions at discounted rates. Whether a visitor’s priority is surfing, wine tasting or township visits, we can help them get the most out of their experience.
Internships and Volunteering
Working hand in hand with community leaders, Sizisa Ukhanyo’s volunteer program gives visitors the opportunity to help the local community. We would love for volunteers to gain a new and true understanding of Cape Town as they work to make a significant contribution to the upliftment of the community. Through a screening process, Sizisa Ukhanyo will help volunteers find a program of their preferred duration, from one month to six months or longer. We have a variety of volunteer and internship programs to choose from. Please contact us with your specific desires so we can match you with the perfect program.
Sizisa Ukhanyo hopes to make visitors feel at home from the time they first set foot in Cape Town. We like to remove any anxieties that can often accompany a visit to a new place by helping newcomers settle in quickly and easily.

FULL SERVICE PACKAGE
The Full Service Package includes the following services:
- Full internship co-ordination, including placement, monitoring, feedback and accreditation facilitation. All internships are appropriately matched to students’ requirements and interests.
- Accommodation – rent is included in the fee.
- Students have the option of furnished single or shared apartments or accommodation in a shared commune/’digs’.
- Sizisa sources accommodation in the most appropriate areas, taking into account safety, cost, quality, amenities, entertainment options and transport convenience. Students do however have a choice as to location of accommodation.
- Practical living and transport advice
- Organized recreational and social activities
- Fundraising assistance
- Sizisa can perform presentations to potential funders/sponsors either in person (if possible) or by way of video conferencing/Skype.
- Induction into South African life, history and culture
- Pre-trip visa assistance
- Airport pick-up and drop-off
- Facilitation of language and other courses of interest. (Course fees not included.)
- Access to a 24/7 helpline
- Administrative services
NOTE: The above Fee structure is flexible should students want to share bedrooms or stay in communes larger than four people. Sizisa will quote separately on these on student request.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: ADVENTURE & SIGHTSEEING SERVICES
Sizisa aims to give visiting students a rich and diverse experience of Cape Town and South Africa and not simply a ‘work’ experience. As such Sizisa offers various adventure and sightseeing services to students registered with the organization. These services are for Sizisa registered students only and are for a separate fee. They are offered at very competitive rates.
Examples of some of the activities Sizisa provides are as follows: Cape Point Nature Reserve tour, Penguin visits, Garden Route excursions (multi-day), Visits to game reserves in the Cape region, visits to interesting surrounding towns, whale watching, wine farm & brewery visits and tastings, museum visits, etc.
Additionally, Sizisa in partnership with 2Way Travel offers many other adventure and tourism services such as: shark cage diving, surfing lessons, trips to Namibia and Mozambique, Kruger National Park visits, etc.
